STAR and SOAR have joined forces to launch a global project celebrating diversity!
SOAR - Students Organizing Against Racism (SOAR) is a group of students from Daegu International School in South Korea whose mission is to build a supportive community that actively opposes racism by spreading awareness.
To honor Celebrate Diversity Month this April, we are launching The Power In Our Differences Campaign! We want to show the world how important and powerful diversity truly is to everyone, everywhere.
To do this, we are calling on YOU.
Send us something that shows what diversity means to you, why it is important, and something that highlights diversity in your life! We are looking for visual, written, spoken, and/or other creative pieces that we will post on social media and showcase at local art exhibit (details TBD).
We are accepting responses now through April.
Entries will be featured on the Soaring_Stars Instagram page throughout April. Additionally, entries will be printed out and showcased at our Diversity Exhibit hosted by Berks County Community Foundation at the end April.
